Located in Auburn Maine, Central Maine Community College was in need of a new Simulation Center for their Criminal Justice program. The new building was to contain a (24) student classroom, ancillary spaces, and large open space for the students and staff to simulate police activities. Just as important to their spatial needs , the Ownership Group also desired the building to be cost effective, maintenance free, and easily expanded upon for future growth. The solution was a unpretentious, 4,560 square foot building comprised of long lasting exterior materials, abuse resistant interior walls, while allowing for any future expansion from either gable end.
